So, this is a blog? I've never really tried this before. Perhaps I should make an overview of the reasons why I decided to start writing.
I'm just about to finish my third year of university and enter my fourth. My last year. I've lived at home for the past 3 years, but now I find that I need some independence desperately. So, earlier this year, I agreed to share an apartment with my friend, let's call her Esmeralda I like Esmeralda very much, so if I complain about her on these pages, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. Now, Esmeralda is a neopagan. Why should this be important to me? Well, I'm a Catholic. And one of those types who actually practices it, like, I go to Mass every Sunday and all that. So Paganism is sort of different for me. When Esmeralda and I first agreed to live together, religion wasn't that big of a deal to her. She observed the sabbats, but not much else. Now, however, she is more involved with pagans at the university, and it plays a more fundamental role in her life. I, of course, listen to her when she discusses her beliefs and new experiences, because we're friends and that's what friends do. But I can't help but think that they're ridiculous sometimes. She can feel free to think that mine are just as ridiculous if she so desires and we can be mutually ridiculous. This blog is going to be a story about how we interact throughout the next year, because it's sure to be hilarious.
So, that's what I'm going to be writing about, but I still haven't explained why. Well, my dear boyfriend, Thelonious (in case you haven't figured it out, all names have been changed), upon hearing of my living arrangement, suggested that I keep a record of our adventures, since they will surely become sitcom worthy. So for the past few months, I kept this thought in the back of my mind. And now, moving day is coming in about a week. It is time.
